Install notes:

(1) Install trial version (i.e. copy the v3.0.4 app to /Applications)
(2) Start trial app and download the sensors — do not block with LittleSnitch at this point
(3) Copy the complete folder /Library/Application Support/iStat local/ incl. the sensors bundle to a safe location, e.g. your desktop
(4) Run the uninstall script within the trial version
(5) Delete the bjango preference via terminal:

rm ~/Library/Preferences/com.bjango.istatmenus.plist

(6) Reinstall trial (w/out launching) by copying it back to /Applications
(7) run “iStat Menus 3.x Licensor.app” and then run grep command in terminal:

grep -Z -r -l A2B54F253 /Applications/iStat\ Menus.app | xargs -0 perl -pi -e “s/\x41\x32\x42\x35\x34\x46\x32\x35\x33/\x39\x39\x31\x42\x38\x30\x43\x46\x37/g”

(8) Copy the complete folder mentioned under (3) back to its original location before launching the app
(9) Block all connections using Little Snitch to iStat Menus (/Applications/iStat Menus.app) and iStatLocal (/Library/Application Support/iStat local/iStatLocal)
(10) Start iStats Menus application: a window will appear asking to download/install the sensors and move some file(s) to the Applications folder, allow the sensors to download and the app to be moved.

In the assembly, there is only one core, this legacy kernel 10,6, but it fully enough, the installation went smoothly and without problems, for which many thanks to developers who have revised their approach to the creation of assemblies, and did not include the extra stuff in a standard installation.
