In her first decade as performing artist Caecilie Norby was heard mostly in pop settings. Still a teenager, in 1982 she was one of the founders of the funk band Street Beat and the following year part of the Jazz/Funk group Frontline (15), that released the albums "Frontline" and "Frontlife".
