Terry uses the introduction to set the scene for the whole book where he talks about his favourite subject being the traditional landscape and how he is inspired by artists such as Constable and Turner, Rowland Hilder and Alwyn Crawshaw. Terry talks about his journey and the lessons that he has learned on the way which are enlightening and I have since found to be very wise words.
In the Choosing Your Equipment, Using The Brushes, and Techniques sections Terry describes 11 of his brushes in some detail, the materials you will need to complete the demonstrations in his book, his palette, various watercolour paint mixes, and techniques you can use in your painting projects.
